The footage to gather

  1. The first step at normal speed
  2. The teacher breaking it down
  3. The short sequence in full

Keep a little time before and after each action. Record the detail at a readable scale and keep the unedited files so that you can check what a cut leaves out.

Plan a working-day story

Opening

Open before the business is ready for customers.

Middle

Follow one preparation step through to completion with its natural sound.

Ending

Show the point where the work becomes useful to a customer.

Review it for dance schools

Show the advertised class level rather than only advanced performers.

Ask before approving: Does the sequence explain the care behind the work?

Watch once without reading your brief. If the intended answer is missing, revise the sequence or record the missing evidence before adding more effects.
